The Best Practice Meeting provides a platform for sharing experiences, innovations, and proven solutions related to sustainable construction, industrial transformation, and the future of the building materials industry.
Together, we would like to discuss current challenges and provide new food for thought on sustainable development.
A special highlight of the event is the presentation by our host, Marco Maccarelli, CEO of Holcim (Switzerland) AG. Under the title “Sustainability as a Success Factor—Perspectives of an International Corporation in Switzerland,” he will address the following topics, among others:
- his perspective as CEO of the Swiss subsidiary of an internationally active corporation headquartered in Switzerland,
- the importance of Switzerland as an innovation market and testing ground for new solutions and technologies within the Holcim Group,
- his vision of Holcim as a leading partner for sustainable construction and the decarbonization of the construction industry in Switzerland.

4:15 PM Tour of the cement plant (admission only with non-slip footwear and weather-resistant clothing)
5:00 PM Holcim hosts a reception and social gathering; takeaways provided by Alice Chalupny

Registration, Price & Cancellation Fee
The cost of the event, including the cocktail reception, is CHF 125.00. For event registrations canceled 30 days or fewer before the event, we will charge 100% of the ticket price as a no-show fee; this also applies to the ticket of any guest.

Getting There by Public Transportation
From the Siggenthal-Würenlingen train station, follow Industriestrasse, then take the underpass and overpass to follow the marked trail to the Blauer Topf staff restaurant.
Getting There by Car
Take Hardstrasse to the Holcim parking lot, then walk along the marked trail to the Blauer Topf.
