Maxon is a leading supplier of precision electric motors and drive systems, developing drive solutions tailored to the needs of customers in the fields of medical technology, industrial automation, aerospace, mobility and robotics. Founded in 1961, the Swiss company is owned by the Braun family and has its headquarters in Sachseln in the Swiss canton of Obwalden. The maxon Group employs around 3300 people at nine production sites worldwide and is represented in over 40 countries.

Eugen Elmiger
Chief Executive Officer maxon Group
Eugen Elmiger, Chief Executive Officer since 2011, steers the fortunes of the maxon Group with passion and vision. Having joined the company in 1991, he built up the sales business in Asia and played a key role in shaping it. Eugen studied electrical engineering at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and completed further training at the University of St. Gallen and Stanford Business School.

Andreas Richter
Chief Operation Officer maxon Group
Andreas Richter has been Chief Operating Officer since 2020 and plays a key role in implementing the company's strategy. Andreas is Vice Chairman of the maxon Group. He supplemented his training as an industrial engineer with a master's degree in strategic management.

As Chief Technology Officer, Stefan Müller has been driving innovation and development at the maxon Group since 2022. He joined the company in 2017. He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and studied at the University of Stuttgart.

Thomas Gittler
Chief Digital Technology Officer maxon Group
Dr. Thomas Gittler has been Group Chief Digital Technology Officer at maxon since 2024 and is driving forward the digitalization of both internal processes and customer-oriented offerings. He joined the company in 2022 and earned his doctorate in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich. Prior to that, he studied mechanical engineering at KIT and EPFL.

Roger Villiger
Chief Sales Officer maxon Group
Roger Villiger has been Chief Sales Officer at maxon since 2024 and maintains close contact with customers. He began his career at maxon in 2009 as a sales engineer, where he developed a deep understanding of maxon's products and customer needs. Roger holds a degree in industrial engineering and an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich.

Nora Teuwsen
Vorstandsmitglied SMG, Vorsitzende der Geschäftsleitung ABB Schweiz
Nora Teuwsen has been Chair of the Executive Board of ABB Switzerland Ltd since August 2022. She holds a Master's degree in law from the University of Zurich and is a Swiss-qualified lawyer. She also holds an Executive Master's degree in European and International Business Law from the University of St. Gallen. From 2004 to 2019, she held various positions at SBB, most recently as Group General Counsel from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, she founded Beyondlegal, a consulting firm for legal departments. Nora Teuwsen is also a member of the board of trustees of the “Menschen für Menschen” foundation and a member of the board of directors of Raiffeisenbank St. Gallen.

Arriving by public transport:

The “Ewil Maxon” S-Bahn station is located directly next to the maxon premises. A signposted path leads to the entrance of the auditorium in TCIII in three minutes on foot.

Arriving by car:

After Lucerne, head towards Gotthard on the A2 and take the A8 junction towards Interlaken/Sarnen. Take the Sarnen Süd exit towards Sachseln. Follow Brünigstrasse for approx. 4 km. maxon is located on the right-hand side of the road.

There is limited parking available in the parking deck. The footpath through the company premises directly to the entrance of the auditorium is signposted.
