EPFL Innovation Park
Tuesday, 16 April 2019
12.00 - 5.00 pm, Lausanne
This event will be held in English.
EPFL favors closer ties to industry leading research in order to best meet the scientific, techno- logical and societal challenges of the XXI century. The high quality of knowledge and technology transfer at EPFL is an important contribution to the innovation ecosystem in Switzerland. The Vice Presidency for Innovation is dedicated to this role, in particular by fostering interaction between EPFL researchers and students, business and industry, start-ups and large enterprises.
The EPFL Innovation Park hosts more than 200 technology driven companies in an inspiring environment on the EPFL Campus, with access to cutting-edge research, a large network of dynamic entrepreneurs and 26 R&D centers of large corporations, like Logitech, Schindler, Bühler, Siemens Healthineers, and most recently Magic Leap. The park also hosts 40 companies in Geneva near Campus Biotech. Since its start, the Innovation Park has supported more than 500 companies, primarily start-ups and scale-ups that have raised over CHF 2 billion in funding.
2019 marks EPFL’s 50th anniversary! A golden anniversary which will put on a series of events showcasing science, research, education and innovation.
