The national weather and climate service MeteoSwiss has been contributing to security and prosperity in Switzerland for 160 years. The population, authorities, economy and science benefit from the weather and climate services provided by the 390 employees in Zurich, Geneva, Payerne and Locarno.

MeteoSwiss implements the tasks laid down in federal law: The federal office operates the national ground and radar measuring network, collects, manages and analyzes weather and climate data. It produces forecasts, provides information, warnings and advice. It is also involved in research and the development of services. In doing so, MeteoSwiss relies on artificial intelligence, cloud technologies and supercomputers - as well as on cooperation with national and international partners.
