SMG Inspirational Talk: Professional sports and sponsorship in times of Covid-19

Dr. Urs Lehmann, President of Swiss-Ski and CEO and Co-owner of Similisan AG, studied business administration at the Universities of St. Gallen and Zurich after his sports career, which he crowned in 1993 by winning the world championship title in downhill skiing. After his studies, he joined Abegglen Management Partners in 2002. From 2005 to 2008, he served as CFO of the VIA MAT Group and simultaneously completed his doctorate at the University of Zurich. In 2008, Lehmann took over the chairmanship of Swiss Ski and has also been CEO and Co-owner of Similisan AG since 2009.

Urs Riedener, CEO Emmi Group, began his career with several marketing positions at Kraft Jacobs Suchard after studying at the University of St. Gallen. From 1995 to 2000, he worked in a variety of management roles at Lindt & Sprüngli, both in Switzerland and elsewhere. Ultimately, he was National Sales Manager and a Member of Group Management for Switzerland. Until 2008, he was Chief Marketing Oficer of the Migros Group and a Member of the Executive Board. In 2008, Urs Riedener became CEO of the Emmi Group and Chairman of the Board.
