Together!

Together!

16. Nov 2022
58. SMG Forum

In a world of great challenges of the most varied nature, a world that will no longer present itself in the same order as it did at the beginning of this year, going it alone can no longer be the solution. Neither as an individual or a company, nor as an organization or a nation.

What new ways of thinking and ways of working together are needed at this perhaps historic turning point?

Brave new world. What does the new world order look like and how can we shape it for the good of the global community?

Knowledge creates progress. How can we, with the support of science, actually bring innovations for a sustainable planet successfully to market?

Metaverse – new universe? How do we use completely new technologies and approaches for the good of society?

Experience drain or gain? How do we ensure a mutually beneficial generational transition?

Doing business. Are our business models still adequate or do they belong in the antiquarian bookshop?

These are some of the topics we would like to address at the 58th SMG Forum and discuss with exciting experts from Switzerland and abroad.

SCION (Scalability, Control, and Isolation on Next-generation networks): A highly secure internet architecture for the 21st Century. Today's internet connects billions of devices worldwide, which are exposed to many threats. Attacks lurk from all sides and the technologies used can no longer withstand the demands of an increasingly interconnected world. Today's internet has several kill switches that can prevent communication within a geographical area.

Over the past 12 years, research of the SCION internet architecture has been conducted to design a secure global network from the ground up that can fundamentally prevent the attacks. Their experience with internet providers and users shows that SCION can replace today's internet in the longer term and is likely to define new security standards.
